as a result of the price increases.

| "Scottish & Southern has announced that it will increase
residential gas and electricity prices for existing customers effective
from 1st March 2005, excluding its 550,000 prepayment customers,
who will see the increase 1st July 2005. They have led with the headline
average increase of 6.7% for electricity (3.7% in the Scottish Hydro
region) and 9.1% for domestic gas.
For an average domestic gas customer the increase equates to around £33
per year and for an average electricity customer it equates to
around £17 per year. The last Scottish & Southern increase
was in July 2004, 9% for gas and 3.7% (In area) for electricity – this
was their only increase in 2004.
Atlantic Electricity and Gas customers will also see an increase – for
the Atlantic Doorstep tariff, an average of 8% for electricity
and 7.9% for gas. These prices have now been aligned with Scottish & Southern’s
standard tariff. Atlantic Direct customers will see an increase
of 15% for electricity and 5.7% for gas. Please see the Online
