- promised to be cheaper than tele2
Tele2 is the fastest growing telecom operator in Europe and offers fixed
and mobile telephony, Internet access, data networks, cable TV and content
services. In the UK, Tele2 is the price-leader for quality fixed-line
services. In June, 2004, Tele2 launched even lower prices in the UK.
The new pricing structure includes: 1. No hidden costs or monthly subscriptions
2. 4p for any local or national call made in the evening or at the weekend,
up to an hour (1p per minute thereafter) 3. 2.5p a minute for peak rate
calls and for international calls to most of Europe, North America and
Australia - all charged per second Changing to Tele2 is easy, all it
takes is to sign-up online www.tele2.co.uk. After registration a letter
will be sent informing the customer of their switch over date and explaining
the process. There is no long-term contract and customers are able to
cancel the service at any time, without penalty. Tele2 UK Chief Executive
Bill Butler comments: "Tele2’s pricing structure does exactly
what it claims to do: it offers great value with no hidden costs and
allows customers to pay only for the calls they make." 30-day cookie

option for using an alternative supplier, as it requires absolutely
no effort! After your switch over date, BT will automatically send
all your calls to Tele2
Would my Internet Service be affected?
You are free to use the internet anyway you choose. Your billing relationship
with your internet provider will not change.
Do I need to have a BT phone line to use Tele2 CPS?
Yes, the offer is not yet available to cable customers.
How many phone numbers can I register with Tele2?
You can register up to 4 phone numbers with Tele2.
How long will it take to register with the service?
All applications should be processed within a two week period. There
are no registration or monthly subscription charges for Tele2.
Is there a minimum monthly call spend?
No, you can spend as little or as much as you like.
When a customer dials 1471 and then presses 3 to call the dialled party
back or to hide their home phone number / "Caller Line Identity" ("CLI")
, does that call go through CPS or BT?
The call is routed via the CPS options chosen and will work the same.
How do reverse charge calls work on CPS?
The operator does not know whether the called customer has CPS or not.
The reverse charge will be billed by BT and appear on the BT bill.

the call and the charge will be on the BT bill.

Your Tele2 bill covers the cost of calls and services with Tele2. You
will also be sent a separate bill from your line provider, e.g. BT, for

by ensuring that you are being charged at their standard rental rate.
Check with your line provider to see if you are paying for any packages
or services you no longer require.
Can I override my Tele2 service once my telephone has been diverted to
Tele2?
Yes you can use your BT line at any time by dialling 1280. BT will charge
you for these calls.
Can I call emergency services?
Yes, BT will continue to provide this service for you.
Can Tele2 help counter Fraud?
At Tele2 we look after our customers to prevent them from becoming victims
of internet scams and fraud. The most flexible solution to combat these
scams is to implement call barring to premium rate services for all of
our customers.
